6. The gearbox casing bolts are loose.

The bolts will loose by vibrations in the using course, it should be checked regularly.

7. The shift lever and the shift fork groove wears loose in manual transmission.

8. ATF don't change for a long time.

Automatic transmission oil will thicken and lack of liquidity, so that no protective layer between the components and make frictions, thus resulting in increased wear of mechanical parts and cause the abnormal sound.

9. Replace the inferior ATF

Because the poor quality transmission oil has low temperature resistance, it is prone to oxidation, making sludge and greaves and clogging the filter and oil channels, causing the friction between automatic gearbox internal components increases, resulting in abnormal sounds. Read more...
