Check and Adjust the Position of the Gear Handle

Improper adjustment of the gear handle will cause the position doesn’t match to the actual position of the manual valve in the automatic transmission valve plate, resulting in fail shifting to parking or forward gear, or the gear indicator on the instrument panel is wrong to show the position, or even fail to start the engine when in the Neutral or Parking gear. The adjustment of the gear handle is as follows:

1. remove the connection rod/ Balanced Connector between the gear lever and the automatic transmission manual valve rocker;

2. shift the handle to the neutral position;

3. make the manual valve arm pulled back to the limit position (parking position), and then return two gears, make it in the neutral position;

4. gentle push the handle and close to the Reverse gear, and then connect and fix the connecting rod/Balanced Connector between the lever and the manual valve.
