Why Is Transmission a Necessity for an Automotive?

Looking from the different models of automotive transmission on the market now, according to automotive transmission gear ratio, it can be divided into step-variable transmission and continuously variable transmission (CVT); according to the steering mode, it can be divided into manual transmission (MT) and automatic transmission (AT includes automated manual transmission) and automatic mechanical transmission (AMT) and the like.

Their basic function is to continuously adjust torque that transmit from the engine to the wheels and the wheel speed according to working conditions. Its primary task is to work with the car engine in order to ensure that  the car can keep normal driving under different conditions. For this reason, automotive gearbox is equipped with two main function, which is deceleration and speed changing, as well as to achieve the car's reverse driving.
