What Functions Does Gearbox Have?

Gearbox is widely used in the application of electric motors, and the gear is a very important mechanical part. Gearbox has the following functions:

1. Gearbox can increase or reduce the speed. This type of gearbox is called change-speed gear box.

2. Gearbox  can change the direction of transmission. In addition, the gearbox can change the deflecting torque as well. When the power is the same, the quicker the speed of the gear is, the smaller the moment is.

3. Gearbox has the on-off function. The engine and the load can be separated through separating the two meshing gears. Besides, the gear can be used to distribute the power. For example, an engine can drive several loads through the function of several subshafts driven by the main shaft of the gearbox.
